Zermatt (Switzerland) - Helps for the plans

Jump to last reply

I am planning to visit Zermatt the next weekend. I would be driving down with my family from Germany.

I wanted some tips here to plan my trip. -

-Can Zermatt be visited in a single day or do we need more than a day to get a real feel of the alpine beauty. We have no plans for hiking.

- I did read that Zermatt is a car free zone and hence car should park near Täsch. Where is the parking place in Täsch and how much does it cost?

- Since this is a last minute planning, the hotel accommodation too is getting quite expensive. As I would be travelling by car, I do not mind to stay in a distant country side and visiting Zermatt if a day trip make sense. Here your views could help me to know which would be a good place to stay from where a day trip to Zermatt could be made. Can a day trip be made from Brienz?
