You've helped in the past and I need you again

We are going to Ireland for 2 weeks in May and are renting a house. Has anyone rstayed at or seen either Dingle Wine Strand Cottages, Ballyferriter, County Kerry or Doonbeg Holiday Cottage, Caherlean, County Clare. I found them through the Irish Tourism Board but am looking to Fodorites for real experiences. Thanks!!

Any advice for JR, whose post was drifting to the bottom at an alarming rate?

This is beyond a merely vague response, but in the last year, there was a lengthy discussion of the merits of staying in Ballyferriter - pretty much universal raves. I was through there last fall and would have cheerfully spent a week in the area. I suggest you search something like Yahoo for Ballyferriter - a couple of people have websites of pictures, and I remember someone had a length journal. The whole west coast is great - you'll love it!

JR,
I haven't heard of either of the properties you mentioned. Try checking out this web-site, www.localireland.ie--which has lots of information on all the counties, accommodation info, etc. This should point you in the right direction. If you need further help, let me know.

You should look into the Irish Holiday Homes website.
