YOUTH HOSTELS/ROME- Have you ever been at Youth Hostel of Rome? Viale dei Olimpiadi

Have you ever been at Youth Hostel of Rome? Viale dei Olimpiadi, 61.
Is that YH good hostel?
What are the main problem to lodge there?
I need all informations about that ´cause I intend to stay there (good price!) but I think that YH is so distant from main sightseeing!
Thank you so much!

Ieda/Brazil

Leda: You might also try posting on the Lonely Planet site http://thorntree.lonelyplanet.com/th...anches.pl?Cat= You might have better luck with 1st hand info, it's a mostly backpacker forum. This hostel is quite far from the sites, I had to use an internet map to find it because it's off my tourist maps. It's located ~3.5KM North of St. Peter's Square. You might reconsider and get something that's better located. HTH Regards, Walter

Hi, I've never stayed at a Rome hostel. But, you might look into convent lodging. The prices are often comparable, and you have spotless, yet basic accomodations.
