youth EU citizen
hi!
i have a lithuania citizenship (EU) and i am 21...but i dont live in europe currently and i am traveling soon for a eurotrip many museum's say that entrence for 18-26 eu members is free anyone know if thats true? showing my passport is enough? anyway used it before? thanks a lot!! |
Yup - free entry for under 26 often but often only for EU residents, which you are not but if you have a EU passport that is all that you should need IME.
|
You may need to show an eu drivers license or ID card, that is what I have seen people being asked for...or a student card

Ditto what Pal wrote.
IME (with offers like that that had been tied only to citizenship but not age) the cashiers at the entrance barely glanced at the ID, and definetely never bothered to check residence. It may be a different issue when there are more pricey offers/ discounts, like buying an expensive rail pass or such. But I doubt anyone will care for the few euros you can save at some sights or museums. Just make sure you read the fineprint re. Free admission.. IME, restrictions to certain days or timeslots are not uncommon. |
thanks!
i'll just give my EU passport a try :) |
For any American resident young person under 26 - try getting in by showing a passport - even though officially may not qualify underpaid and over worked museum ticket window personnel may not care that much IME. And some may not have the EU only qualifier.
