Ridiculously warm here in the DC area most of the day, then temperatures dipped this evening into the 30s - enough to merit building a big fire in the fireplace and enjoying a second piece of the limoncello cheesecake.

Merry Christmas to everyone and here's to many years of travel ahead of us.

Joyeux Noël, Buon Natale, Fröliche Weinachten, Feliz Navidad, and Merry Christmas in all the languages I have yet to learn!

Rome is cold , maybe 30 degrees but the skies are clear. Today, Dec. 26 at the Borghese Gallery I stood alone in many of the rooms gazing at the wonderful objects of art.

Thanks ira for the suggestion.

NOT so sunny in 'Sunny South Africa' Here in Cape town it rained all of Christmas day :-( We normally spend Christmas around the pool.
Today we drove up to Tulbagh to spend the day with friends who are camping, when we got there we couldn't believe our eyes when it was pointed out to us that there was a dusting of snow on a couple of the mountain peaks. WOW that has to be a first, this is mid summer for goodness sake!!!! What's happening to our weather?!
We still had a wonderful Christmas with family and friends, and the gammon was great.
I hope you all had a wonderful day too. :-)

From Pacific Grove, California on the Monterey Peninsula: We actually had hail on Christmas Day! Then more rain. Today more hail and now clearing. Have a great New Years All!

It was cold here in Ljubljana, Slovenia. The mercury dipped to a frosty -12C. Coldest day of the year until this morning when we awoke to -14!

We spent Christmas Day up in the air, flying from New York back home to Missouri. Weather clear and crisp but not so cold. While in New York there was one big snow. Best to all,
Bill

Weather here was fine and c risp yesterday. Today it's sleet and very cold outside.

Tomorrow we head for a big house on Speyside with a party of 14, for the week.

It was lovely & sunny, maybe in the 80s here in Honolulu. My nieces and their friend from New York acted like they were at a resort, all lounging at my pool with their Snapples and a pile of Entertainment Weekly magazines!
