NORTH:
Lago Orta/Maggiore
Portovenere
Val Gardena
Val d' Orcia
Siena
Volterra

SOUTH:
Positano
Taormina
Alberobello
Maratea
Gaeta/Sperlonga
You will need a map for some of these, but I assume that is the reason you asked in the first place.
