Last year I stayed at an agriturismo called Il Cantico della Natura (http://www.ilcanticodellanatura.it/). It's in a beautiful, remote setting with a wonderful view, near Perugia. At the time its extremely industrious owner was still putting the finishing touches on landscaping, but the rooms had been lovingly restored and decorated and the food was fantastic. What impressed us the most was that it was full of Italians -- it seemed to be more of a retreat for people who live there rather than typical tourists, which made the experience even nicer for us.

www.letore.com
we ate Easter dinner there last year and it was wonderful. We were the only non Italians there and the food just kept coming and coming. It's outside of Sorrento near Sant 'Agata.
Click on the British flag near the top for English version of the site. The owner's English is fairlt good. Certainly better than my Italian!

Our favorite B&B in Italy (about 90 mins north of Rome, between Orvieto and Civita di Bagnoregio):

My favorite B&B in Italy is outside of Assisi on the way to Perugia. The place is gorgeous, the rooms are lovely, and the family that runs it are sophisticated, talented and hospitable. Dinner there is a real treat:

I have always had luck with Karen Brown and her books. www.karenbrown.com and click on italy b&b's. My favorites to stay have been le traverse in Pienza and tenuta di conica in Todi.
