Try Trattoria Scavalino (spelling might be wrong) near the Trevi Fountain...Its an unassuming family joint that serves wonderul seafood-and everything else...Two of us ate a full 3 course each with wine for right at 40 Euros...Get your hands on Cheap Eats in Italy by Sandra Gustavson..It was very helpful on my last trip to Rome

Loved your detailed info Russ. I'm so glad to hear about reasonably-priced places. I was beginning to think we'd be paying 100 euro's every meal we'd have.I'm making a long list here...thanks so much for the tips.
