I'd also recommend a canal view room as it enhances the Venetian experience at any time of the day or night.
But Venice in the moonlight is mystical and memorable. Especially in a gondola, drifting down one of the smaller canals, by a sidewalk cafe, with strains of opera coming from the windows....simply unforgettable!

I love all the visuals and am SOOO looking forward to my trip. I will difinitely take your recommendations... they all sound magical. Thanks again for all the responses. I feel so lucky to be able to experience a city that evokes such great emotion in all of you.
