The issue of being able to use our own posts as we see fit came up in one of the threads. I wrote Fodors editors because the subscriber policy did not make it clear to me if we could publish our postings elsewhere. Only that Fodors could use our postings as they see fit.

Here is their answer:

Our Subscriber’s Agreement (printed on the bottom of our homepage) indicates that Fodor’s has a non-exclusive license to use any material that has been posted on our bulletin boards and forums in connection with our website and print publications, but this does not prevent subscribers from using the material themselves for whatever publishing endeavor they wish to pursue.

OK phoebe- now for that book deal!

The question that could arise is whether posting her would be considered "prior publication" by the person considering your work for their publication.

"The Fodors Diaries"? who would want to buy that. Maybe there is a screenplay in this, although I thought some recent posts were more like performance art.

How about a book titled, "The Posters".
