York B&B

Can anyone recommend a very nice B&B in York? Has anyone stayed at either One3Two or the Alexander House? Thanks.

I stayed at the St Raphael Guest House on St. Anne's Road in 2001 and will be staying there again later this month.

We stayed at the one3two for one night in August. It was a huge room (2d floor), large bathroom, floor to ceiling windows, and tasteful furnishings. We opted for the breakfast hamper in the room but if I went back I think I would eat in the dining room downstairs.
You have your own key to the front door so you can come and go easily. There is a small parking lot in back for a few cars. We drove in and it is easy to find because it is outside the city walls. I would say it is about a 15 min. walk to the Minster, and about a 5 min. walk to the city wall.
They had a helpful list of restaurant recommendations, from which we found a nice place for dinner. I would return.

Highly recommend The Four Seasons Hotel. Very nice B&B in York. Do a search on Fodor's for more detailed information on this B&B from me and many others.
