Travel Geneva - Sion

Is there another way/faster way to get to Sion from the airport of Geneva than by train?

I like quick answers, it's a simple one no. Unless, and I don't know if travelling by car would be quicker. Swiss trains are fantastic and that route goes all the way along side the lake.

Given that the train leaves the Geneva airport from a station situated virtually next to baggage claim, no.

The train is incredibly convenient for what you are seeking.

That said, maybe if you rented a car and drove really really fast, perhaps you could beat the time on the train?

Thanks all for the quick replies! As the taxi flight seems pretty interesting I think I will leave it by using the train

Journey times up to Sion railway station:
Train: 2 hrs
Car: 1 3/4 hrs if you can avoid the traffic jams around Lausanne and Chillon (motorway partly closed for works) which regularly occur in early morning when people go to work at Vevey/Lausanne and in late aftrnoon when they turn back home.
