We are leaving tomorrow for Italy!!! After a year of planning, I can't beleive we are actually going!!!!!!! OMG! Any last minute advice????

Stay away from the US embassy and AmEx offices, anything 'American'. Dont wear clothes that immediately give you away as American, dont wear anything, ie lapel pin, w. flag. etc etc etc.

If the advice from careful was from Al Qaeda headquarters itself, it wouldn't be any more offensive. <BR>

Enjoy every minute of your trip, lots of good food , wine, and beauty all around you .. Bon Voyage!.. Have a double espresso for me!

avoid mcdonalds which is also an american interest!

Just got back 28/9; ignore above advice. (I am Canadian). Many stores and business had signs or notices posted - in English - expressing their sympathy with the American people, I did not see any negative attitude. One city (Rome? It's all a blur...), the mayor had published a letter of sympathy and support that almost every business posted. <BR>
