Yaay!! I just booked my Paris flight! Can you guys help me find an apartment?

Hi all,

I need an apartment for May 23-Jun 1 2007. My sister and I stayed in the Marais last time so we were hoping to try the 5th or the 6th arr this time.

Our budget is 75euro a night. I'm firm on this--in fact, with the cdn dollar compared to the euro I'd rather 65euros.

I've had a short list of studios I was interested in but they're all booked for part of the time we're there.

I'd appreciate any suggestions.

Tamara

Topping again. Anyone? I'm kind of getting desperate. Everyone I've contacted is booked.

Have you tried vrbo? You rent from the owner.

New York Habitat has apartments in Paris, with the price you want. I just went there and plugged in your dates and price requirements. Several apartments came up:

One of the other seekers seeking information on an apartment has found one at [email protected] called the "Faubourg". The ad says 75e's a night.

Thank you Sandy!

The vrbo apts I've tried are all booked. I'm going to try nyhabitat today on my lunch.

Suzie C: is there a website that you know of?

Lucy,
You're very welcome :-) Good luck finding an apartment, and enjoy your time in Paris!

Most apts are going to be booked already so I'd grab the first thing you find that you can afford that's available. some apts in your price range -- good luck.

You can try beau-paris.com. I stayed twice in apartments thru them. They are also direct from the owner. In my case one apartment I stayed in is no longer listed and the apt. I stayed in more recently is unavailable but there are others. Good luck.

If things don't pan out with an apartment you may like to contact a very nice lady in Rue Delessert(around the corner from Passy Metro stop) who has a double room en-suite with breakfast in her lovely apartment. I believe the room has a view of the Eiffel Tower.
I have no idea what she charges but she does have a website where you can view the room.
Contact:

[email protected]

Good luck!

The Rue Princesse studio on beau-paris is *really dark* -- no real windows in the apt. I wouldn't stay there again although the location was wonderful.

fishee, Mara & tod, thank you so much!

fishee it's funny..the vrbo you suggested is the exact same place I stayed 3yrs ago. It shows booked on their homepage but shows avail. on the vrbo page. I emailed them anyway.

The others I'll look at later when I have more time.

I'm feeling a bit bettter now, thanks.

Try:www.vacationinparis.com
They have several studios in your price range but I don't know if they're still available. They're U.S. based, so a phonecall is easy.

Thanks Nancy, there's a cute studio in the Marais I'm going to check on.

I've stayed in apartments in Paris. I used www.yellowstay.com.

Rafi was my contact and was very helpful (to be honest, they screwed something up at first, but then were quick to fix it).

Esmeralda thanks..I've emailed about an apt thru parisattitude, but I do appreciate first hand info about these agencies.
