I've used them before but not in Barcelona. The system is great. The sooner you book the better the rate is. The cars (Mercedes A) is wonderful.
Absolutely worth trying.
The only negative thing is the advertisement stickers on the car so everyone knows you're driving a rental car.

the only draw back I can think of with eastrentacaris the fact that you are limited to the number of KMs you drive!!

What type of insurance have you added to theirs? Any problems with extra charges on your credit card after returning the car?

I used it a couple of years ago when they had just opened the shop. It was an absolute breeze. Everything was very easy and professional. You can get a Mercedes A-Class or a Smart. For long distances, the A-class is much better.

They are very strict with timings and dents. They won't like it if you are even ONE minute late. I went to pick up my car and arrived there 4 (exactly) minutes before the time I had written down on my reservation, and their system wouldn't even show my reservation before the proper time.

They were also very clear about any dents on the car. You make them, you pay them. I used all of their insurance.

Before you commit, read their FAQ's or, better yet, try asking someone. I wanted to rent a car a second time, and take it outside of Spain and then take it back. They don't allow that. Supposedly, their insurance doesn't cover accidents outside of Spain, and you can't buy complementary insurance.

Thanks, Jean. Do you remember if they offered the super CDW insurance, so you don't have to pay a deductible?
