Wrong birthdate on TGV ticket, what to do?
My cousin bought all of our tickets on SNCF website but put in the wrong birth year on mine. Is this a big deal? Can I change it?
Thanks! |
As long as the name and other information matches, I don't think the conductor will even notice it. Should he notice it, I don't think he'll fine you, unless he's a French admirer of McCarthy ...

..only if it "makes you older" LOL. I dont think it is a big deal unless it qualified you for a reduced fare.
|
Thank you for responding! I'll leave it as is. It is only a year off and I don't qualify for a reduced rate. But she did make me older! Thanks again.

They stamped the wrong date on mine one year. I was going from Avignon to CDG. The conductor was kind enough to let me stay on the train but if a ticket holder needed my seat I would have to leave. Lady luck rode with me.

The wrong date of travel ? |
Sorry !!Yes!

We had train tickets bought by internet (between Paris and Reims), and the birth date of our friend was wrong. Nobody said anything. Our tickest were not for seniors, so no reduced price.he had no problems at all.

You may not even be asked for your ticket. I rode Paris to Montpellier on the TGV in February. On the way down the conductor never came by to check the tickets. On the way back, he did.

The conductor did come by and check our tickets but he didn't question the wrong birthdate. So all was well!

You'll be just fine. However, change cousins!
