Wow... what is going on with the site!?!? Argghhh...

I tried posting a fairly brief trip report on Berlin and after all that, the site just "freaked out" on me. Loading of windows all over the page and all kinds of crazy things. Why is this happening? Does anyone know? :(

Has been bad for a couple of days now. Very frustrating! It went through a bad spell a few months ago too. I hope they get it straightened out soon!

Any time I try to post a reply I have to log in. But it's not the worst.

Had to close Fodor's and open again to get into Europe. The other day somebody complained: can't find USA. Now I need directions to Europe :)

The thing that bugs me is the fodor's editors spend time deleting these types of threads instead of fixing the problems.

Instead of letting the threads run (Heck -- maybe they could learn something from our trouble shooting) they nuke them, assuming I guess if folks don't read about the glitches they won't notice.

This is soooo weird! There were 3 replies to this thread, up to 3:39 - but it still displayed as 3:00 p.m. with 0 posts.

janis, I noticed that on a thread I posted a reply to earlier today. This is the most trouble I've had at Fodor's, and hopefully someone is working on it.

Yes it's been going on for several days, all different types of glitches. One problem appears solved but another pops up. MichelleNYC, you are not alone!

I didn't even have my "previously replied to" threads showing when I click my name.

Things arent posting and I keep getting a "error on processing request" in the thread list. It's pretty bad. Plus if you look in the left column while typing a reply, you'll see a post of mine that never made it to the actual thread.

I opened a new browser wsession and started over. That helped somewhat.

Michelle, I'd like to hear about your trip to Berlin, so I hope you persevere and repost!

crefloors Nov 18th, 2004 01:08 PM

I'm replying mostly to see if I can. I'm having huge problems also...all kinds of error messages etc. Ah, isn't technology grand...when it's working that is.

michelleNYC Nov 18th, 2004 01:42 PM

Hi Will... I posted my so-far brief trip report on Berlin.

beachbum Nov 18th, 2004 01:42 PM

Yeah, what you said, janis; the threads are not logging replies correctly. I just clicked on two threads showing 0 replies that did indeed have at least 1 reply.
