Wow, in light of today's sad events in London, did anyone see this post from last year?

Seems eerily prescient:
"London Terror. Not if when!"

When we were in London 3 weeks ago I had that gut feeling thinking the same thing. Just watching the hundreds of people walking in and out of the tube stations made me realize there's no way to protect anyone if some of those people are carrying bombs. This is true for any city of course but I just had that "feeling" when we were in London not long ago.

I don't know really Stellaluna, when we were looking at a tube map all the sudden I just got that feeling that none of us were really safe. Quite honestly it has hit me in the London tube more than once, but I am also aware of the attacks in underground railways in the past(Japan).

It's desperately sad, but I think in England a lot of people have been expecting something to happen at some point. Twenty years ago we lived under the threat of the IRA in every big city, and were not so surprised when something appalling did happen. At least the IRA gave some warning though. This is so much more sinister and shocking.
I don't believe anywhere is truly safe now. I'm off to Paris next week, and the likelihood something could happen on the metro or buses is a real possibility. It has been for some time. It won't stop me going anywhere; we are still more at risk of an accident in our cars driving our children to school or going to work or the shops.

9/11 attack on World Trade Center;
Madrid train attack;
this morning's attack on London tube;
ALL occurred at 8:50 am ... and makes sense as it's ideal time for incurring maximum damage (morning rush hour) and then, all the ensuing publicity on the days' news coverage.

Well either you knew something or you didn't. As you waited until it happened to tell anyone, we can assume you didn't.
Lucy, explain what feelings you had before because frankly I don't believe you.

Perhaps I'm mis-interpreting what travelinwifey said, but I got the feeling she was saying that when she was there, she realized what a 'good' potential target the Tube would be. Not that she had some kind of a premonition.
I've had that feeling in different places, when you realize there's no real security someplace, there's a big crowd, lots of people with all different looks to them, that it was a place that something bad could happen and there maybe was not much that could be done about it.

stella, no one is saying they KNEW something. And I don't really care that you don't belive me but if i have to explain what a feeling is to you, then your problems are much too large to be adressed here.

Well, I'd respond saying something to Stellarosa but I guess others did it for me. Thank you.
Stellarossa is a poster that I have never heard of or posted any correspondence with, let she knows what was going through my mind on that day.
But it does amaze me people can still be cruel on such a tragic day.
