Would you rather take a boat tour around Capri or off the Amalfi Coast?

We'll be staying in Positano next month, with a day trip to Capri. We'd like to take a private boat tour on one of those days, mainly just to relax and swim off the boat. Our options are a three-hour boat tour around Capri, or a 90-minute sunset cruise off of Positano.

Both are private tours; pricing is the same; both companies get excellent reviews. We have seven hours total to explore Capri but we do NOT plan to visit the Blue Grotto or the chairlift. We have a full day in Positano the following day.

Would you choose the Capri boat tour on day 1, or the sunset cruise on day 2? Is either area better for swimming? (Calmer waters, fewer jellies, that sort of thing?) Thanks!

We tried to get out on a boat for four days in Capri before we finally did. Unpredictable due to the changing sea’s condition. Perhaps, Positano would be a safer bet?

That's an excellent point -- I'll go with the Positano boat and hopefully the weather will cooperate. Either way, much easier than potentially getting stuck with a tour reservation in Capri that we can't actually get to. Thanks!
