Would venice be pricey in september

Im travelling next year with a friend for a week sometime in Sept and wondered how pricey it would be, hotels, tourist attractions, restaurants.

Just as pricy as any other month - - but September might be the single best month to go to Venice, or tied with June. Unofrtunately, way too many people have discovered this.

Best wishes,

Rex
Yes, September is high season and hotels are more expensive. As Rex mentioned it is both beautiful and a bit crowded at that time.

The beginning of the month is worse due to the film festival. The area immediately surrounding San Marco is the most crowded. Avoid both of these and you should be fine.

Venice has been a premier tourist destination for what, about 800 years now? It is always pricey.

Some hotels (not all) have a low and high season. The dates will very from hotel to hotel. In general you can find low rates, last of Nov into Dec, then last of Jan and the last of Feb into March. Most hotels that we have been interested in had only one rate.
