Good idea, Ira.
I just checked the website and it would be 38 euro for a 2 day pass for the 4 of us. The website doesn't say what summer hours are, though.
Do you think they go late into the evening? (In the winter they close at 7!.)
Thanks.

Dina4...Okay, I admit I just glanced through the replies here and did not read them all at length. But I don't think I saw anyone mention the Segway Tour. You get it through Fat Tire Bikes and it is wonderful.
We did the night tour our first night in Paris and it was wonderful! You cruise all around Paris on the Segways and get to see most of the city with very little effort. Plus, when we went we were the only two that night so we lucked out with a private tour.
Also, it is very reasonable. I think I remember it as being 70E pp for the evening.
Hope this helps.

Thanks, Dejais. I've heard those segway tours are lots of fun. I am a little worried about doing it the first night because so many posters on this forum say it's hard at first to get a hang of and that people have quite a few falls. I'm worried we'll be too tired/braindead to handle something new like that the first night, but I see you did it your first night. Had you ridden segways before? If not, what was your experience of "getting the hang of it"?

Sorry for the delay in answering.....the holidays, you know. But to answer your question....my husband is 53 and I am 47. I was concerned that he might not be able to do this as he is not the most limber or mobile person. The person who took us on the tour trained us outside of the office and there was no pressure as far as time. He would not take us out until we were ready. I got the hang of it instantly but hubby took a little longer. We "trained" for maybe half an hour.
They start you out slow on the tour and then, at your comfort, they speed it up and take you on the roads. I'll tell you, hubby handled it great. I was the one that stumbled at one point but not to worry...it was quite safe and the guy was with me the whole time.
By the time we finished the tour, we were pros. It was totally relaxing and enjoyable. Not at all like work. And the Segways are AMAZING!
Like I said, they go at your comfort level so I would say go for it if you want to do something that is really a once in a lifetime treat. And I am a REALLY cautious person so I would not make a recommendation like this lightly.
I loved the people there at Fat Tire so much. They were very friendly and easy to be with. When I return next year I am taking my mother on one of their bike tours.
Have fun whatever you decide!
