Would like photo help

We recently returned from Turkey (it was great!) and would appreciate some help. My photos (especially those taken indoors) are dissapointing. I would appreciate hearing from those who have been inside Aya Sofia & the Blue Mosque and have photos THAT I CAN HAVE PRINTED. I've checked some photos on the web, and although they are beautiful, they can't be printed on 4x6. If you can share your own website that's capable of producing prints, I would really be grateful.

Hi Lovebirds

What size are you looking for? If you give me as pixel measurement I may send you.

Didn't you take a photograph when you were there?

I don't know much about pixels. I use a point & shoot 35mm film camera and then scan. My scanned pictures average about 800-900 KB (I'm not really sure what that means). I took loads of pictures and most of them are as beautiful as Turkey is. I had trouble indoors with high ceilings and insufficient lighting.

I tried Webshots but can't print them. They're condesed and are too small. The pictures I scanned are about 400x600 pixels (approx)

Try this website I got way back on Fodors. Galen has a great website and photos/stories from all over the world. I just looked up Istanbul and right clicked on a picture and was able to save it into "My Pictures." Hope this helps. http://www.galenfrysinger.com/turkey_in_asia.htm

Just a reminder. The polite thing to do is to ask permission before downloading and printing a photo that someone has posted.

I realize it's too late, but did you take the indoor pics with or without flash? Inside most buildings, especially Mosques, flash was not permitted.

Maybe I lucked out, but every indoor pic taken without flash came out beautifully, using a regular 35mm 140zoom. Unfortunately, I have them all in a photo album - nothing is online.

Good Idea - regardless where you are visiting, ALWAYS BUY POSTCARDS - they're inexpensive and save your memories just in case something goes wrong with your film or camera.

Thank you all for your input. I love to travel and to exchange ideas with others. That's why I love this site and all my online travelling companions.
To answer a few questions. I downloaded only from sites with public/print permission (including Webshots). I always buy postcards and intermingle them with my own pictures. When I'm not sure, I take 1 picture with a flash and 1 without it. Several online albums have beautiful pictures and even offer a "print photo" option, but unless I'm doing something really wrong (always a possibility) I get a message saying the picture is too small. I'm still searching.

What Type of PHOTO PRINT (SOFTWARE) are you using?

Can't you CROP or CHANGE the size of the picture(s) you coppied?

Thanks to the input from a lot of people, including my online friends at this chat site, I can now print pictures. I still can't send them out to be printed, but I can print (almost) anything on my own printer. Now all I have to do is get a Color printer. I'd still be curious to know if I can send them out to get professional prints.
