Help! We can't decide whether to stay on Lake Como at the Terminus (looks nice not too luxurious but apparently in a great location) or lake Maggiore at the Grand hotel magestic(looks very luxurious but more quiet). My husband and I are world travelers. We enjoy activity and people. Our most successful trips have been a combination of comfort, relaxion with the opportunity for a night life.

We are not the disco party couple but we like fine dining and conversing with locals and other travelers. It would be nice to have the option to go to nearby places for a cocktail or culture.

i need advice as to which lake would suit us better.

Anyone have any thoughts?

I'm planning to visit the Lakes Region in early October 2007, and am looking for a suggestion for a decent but moderate priced hotel. I had thought about staying a day or 2 in Stresa since it is easily accessible from Malpensa via train, but I've heard that the hotels are run down. Any advice? Please reply via email. Mille grazie.
