It links beautifully, Mimi. I like visiting the churches of Paris as much as the author of that article, and for much the same reason--the overwhelming beauty you find within (even the ugly ducklings) and that sense of serenity and quiet. We've never gone to Paris without finding ourselves in a church.

Dear ciga: Thank you so very much for that link. I made a copy to read en-route from Amsterdam. I have found the small out-of the-way churches in Italy, and the Czech Replublic as interesting as the well know ones, and will use the guide to see as many as possible. I get the N.Y. times in e-mail and have been deleting it during my week-long search of web-trip-planning,so that info saved me more time.
