World's Oldest Figurative Art Recently Discovered
 
A figurine which is at least 35,000 years old, has recently been found in a cave in the Schwäbische Alp, Germany. This is the oldest piece of figurative art yet discovered. The small figurine has been named "Venus" because it is female with deliberately exaggerated features.
