As Jody says the Imperial War Museum at Duxford is for aircraft. Duxford is close to Cambridge, just off the M11 motorway.

The website is -

You may also want to visit the Royal Air Force museum at old Hendon airfield in London. Take a Northern Line underground train (destination Edgware) and ride to Colindale station. The museum is a short walk from the tube station, the way is signposted.

Enjoy your trip
