I thought cocaine was an appetite suppressant, and causes hyperactivity & restlessness.

So technically, we should be running away from all the wonderful food and gelato offerings while in Rome...

I was talking about the "other" drug..

mcnyc May 31st, 2007 01:35 PM

Oh, missed that one. Well, in that case, the cocaine and marijuana would cancel each other out, don't you think?

In any case, a very interesting story.

I suspect the simpler answer of why you are "always hungry" in Rome is because the food is so good.

Could that possibly be a reason LOL?

I thought it was because of all the walking! Who knew?

This is so weird- on my way to the office this morning, I was annoyed (as usual) by people smoking cigs as they walk down the street. It was very humid and the smoke makes the air just *that* much more disgusting.

So I started wondering about air pollution caused by smoking, and had anyone ever actually measured how many toxins from cigarettes remain in the atmosphere?...

And now, this evening, I come here and learn that yes, in Rome they have. Weird.
