wireless access in the Louvre

Does any one know if wireless access is available in the Louvre? Would like Internet access to use tablet to research items while there.

I don't think the Louvre has WiFi, but they do have multimedia guides for 6€ http://monguide.louvre.fr and there are printed guides to the works in every room on large plasticized sheets. If you have time, you could conduct much of the research in advance from their excellent website, which details everything, includes "virtual tours" and even has suggestions for various themed routes. http://www.louvre.fr/llv/commun/home.jsp?bmLocale=en

There is nothing on the official Louvre website that would indicate that they have wifi. There are loads of wifi sites near the museum, though.

You could always buy a 3G card, then you would have the access permanently:). They are expensive in France though.....

The Louvre doesn't even have air conditioning, much less Wi-Fi. However, some places in the shopping center next to it have Wi-Fi. There may be a few spots actually in the museum where you can get it as well, but generally speaking, the computer age is still decades in the future from the viewpoint of the Louvre.
