We'll be in Greve in September and plan to visit Vignamaggio right outside of town. It is the birthplace of Mona Lisa and the villa where "Much Ado About Nothing" was filmed. It also has beautiful gardens that you can tour.

Castello Verrezzano is close and a good tour. www.verrazzano.com Castello Banfi is another.

Some great restaurants in the area: Risoro di Lamole is one of the best... in the town of Lamole. Ristoro L'Antici Scuderia at Badia a Passignano is another. I have a larger list of restaurants, drives which covers most of Tuscany. If you are interested email me at [email protected].

Greve is having its annual wine festival the weekend of September 11.

Castello Gabbiano is just a bit northwest of Greve and is very scenic with a nice tasting room and some higher-end wines that don't seem to make it to many of the wine shops in my area. Their entry-level Chianti is available pretty much everywhere but really doesn't do justice to what the winery is capable of.

jnjfraz - I tried sending you an email and it was returned to me as undeliverable. We would enjoy receiving your list. You are so very kind to offer.
