Wine tour from Verona?
We (four adults) are looking for a half-day winery tour from Verona. Has anyone done this? Can you recommend a good company with which to go? Thank you!

During my last trip in Italy I tried some wine and food tours in different regions. Honestly the one I love the most was the one in Venice, perharps the most
suggestive and with the best quality/price ratio. I adore white wine and Veneto is actually the best region to find it. Here I have a list of the tours I tried: Tuscany http://www.classicjourneys.com/tusca...ary/itinerary/ Venice http://www.venicewinetour.com/product/wine-tour/ Turin/Piemonte http://www.piedmont-foodandwine.com/tastings-events.php |
Recommend a trip to the Piemonte..

Thank you for your feedback. The ones you have recommended look great! We will definitely do a couple of these.

I just wanted to update you on this. We did indeed find a wonderful tour of the Valpolicella area. It was an afternoon tour through Pagus Volpolicella which we would highly recommend. We stopped in a small village and learned a bit about the history of the region and then had a tour and tasting at a lovely winery. The driver/guide was knowledgeable and engaging.

I am glad you had a good time with Pagus Valpolicella! Alessandro and Davide do a great job.

Pagus is AWESOME! We spent 2 days with Davide that were highlights of our trip.

Hi Golfergal - since you topped this... I'm planning a week in Verona and am intrigued by the Pagus tours. Did you do a group tour? if so, could you tell me which you did and what you liked about it? Thanks!
