Wine or Food tours in Southern Italy
I have read a few other threads on tours people took that included cooking and food and olive oil making, but they all seem to be taking place in Tuscany or at least northern Italy. We are planning out Honeymoon and going to be in Southern Italy (Positano, Capri) and Rome and just thought I would see if there were any tours like these in those areas. Thanks all!

The Italian tourist board has a great book that talks about all of the wine regions, I would highly recommend it. There's also a great book that will detail where the preferred wineries are in Italy. The book is Vino Italiano. You can egt it at Italian Wine Merchants in NYC, they have a website.

If you would like cooking lessons and you might consider going even further south, there's Cucina del Sole in Viagrande, in the province of Catania, in Sicily, taught by Eleonora Consoli. I took just a morning class there and really enjoyed it. The recipes are not rigid, and she gives plenty of historical background along with the cooking. I know that it is possible to stay on the premises and take a full week class (possibly longer).

EmilyChicago,
In poking around on the web, there seem to be a couple of things offered on Capri (up in Anacapri). Here's a link to the Anacapri life website: http://www.anacapri-life.com/en/offerta_cucina.html.
This link is to the "Week in the Kitchen" tour. It looks like there is also a wine tour....
