Wine, Culinary or Walking Tours of Rome??

Hello,

I am looking for some type of "organized" wine, culinary and/or walking tour of Rome or near cities. I am 33 years old and will be there alone for 20 days this April, beginning on the 2nd.

I am overwhelmed with choices having never been is there anything anyone can recommend for me?

Thanks so much for your help!

Celeste

Check out the website for Context Rome. They conduct excellent walks that many Fodorites (including me!) recommend highly. I was in Rome for the month of February and took several. You may want to consider the Annotated Lunch, since you're a foodie. It was wonderful. If you have questions about specific CR walks let me know, because I've done almost all of them!

Brilliant MassageDiva, thank you! Now what do you know about hiking or mellow biking? Or cooking classes? Thanks! Celeste

Three Millenia Tours offers a wine tour in the evening - I haven't taken it but have read good reviews:

Thanks Elizabeth, I'm booking that one now. Just read MassageDiva's "month in Rome", wow! I must keep a journal. Thanks so much for your help.

Also booking something with Context Rome, I think the Annotated Lunch looks amazing but too expensive for me unfortunately.

We enjoyed the 3-hour Ancient Rome tour run by enjoyrome.com.

Hello, So I went with Daphne of Three Millenia on the Wine Tour it was great! And then with Julia at Odyssey to see the Vatican, she is fun and really friendly. I highly recommend both tours! Seeing Daphne again Friday for Off the Beaten Path Tour. ?'s email [email protected]

Scheduled for Context Rome's language workshop but couldn't find the meeting point, their directions and map were TERRIBLE and am still waiting to hear back about whether they will let me reschedule as I've already paid.

Celestina - say hi to Daphne from Liz and Richard (2 Canadians who took the Colleseum Tour with her in February - we were making nachos and she gave us info to find ingredients!)
