For goodness sake, the Queen's sons all went to Gordonstoun . Prince Harry is not very academic, but Prince William got the requested A-Level grades to get into St. Andrews which is a reputable and ancient university. He got an upper second degree, which counts as a "good degree".
I think it is roughly equivalent to a top end magna cum laude in your money.
I wish you would Google before you leap.

So Prince William would have gotten into Eton anyway if he was a common bloke from Manchester?

OK fair enough I did not know he was that brilliant - thanks for setting the record straight on that. Cream always rises to the top.

Pal, you are not incorrect, both William and Harry attended Eton.

Personally I like Eton as a rest from the hustle and bustle of Windsor and as stated there are some nice eateries on that side of the river.

OP - HCP! Nuff said.

Harry got into Eton because he was a brilliant academic then!

Affirmative action we call it. Same reason W got into Yale.

Overall Eton is both an elite and a very good academic school it seems.

PQ : why in Hell do you care? Seems a bit obsessive . . .

PalenQ Mar 23rd, 2014 01:04 PM

janisj - I could ask you the same question about why do you care about why I care?

don't you ever care about certain things - wonder what the real story is, etc.

Cheers!
