Windsor Castle bus tour question

How long is the walk from tour bus drop off to Windsor Castle?
I saw one place that said 3 miles. Is that correct?

I took a tour to Stonehenge and Windsor castle and don't recall the walk being that long. They dropped us off at a train parking lot maybe a 10 min walk away.

Since we don't know where any specific tour drops off, can't tell you. But the town is small and three miles would VERY far out . . .. Most coaches park in the Arches Car Park which is the red dot on this map https://en.parkopedia.co.uk/parking/...g=201805170930

That is about a half a mile walk from the visitors entrance to the Castle.

Maybe give us a link to where you read 3 miles???

Thanks for the info & map. We are used to walking a lot but 3 miles just to get to the castle seemed a little excessive not to mention walking around the castle itself and the 3 miles back.

I can’t seem to find where I read that as I googled and read so many sites.

To give you an idea -- 3 miles from the Castle could be in Slough. Nothing IN Windsor is 3 mies from the Castle - the whole town is barely 1 mile across., so maybe you 'mis-read' something??

Just spitballing, but could it have been “3 mins” rather than “3 mi”? It’s much more typical for a British person or company to express a walk in time rather than miles. Either way, it probably won’t be far.

It probably was 0.3 miles, not 3 miles, as the train station and many car parks are about 0.3 miles from teh castle.

Even the Long Walk isn't 3 miles long.

It probably was 0.3 miles and I’m so glad to hear that.

Since I walk 2 miles every day at home that should be “a walk in the park” so to speak.
