I really wanted Nadal to win and I think he deserved it but as soon as he did I felt sorry for Federer. they both played incredible tennis.

Over here they are reporting it as one of the best finals seen at Wimbledon - I certainly enjoyed (if thats the right word)it more than the Mcenroe - Borg finals, but I missed the Ash v Connors final and too young to appreciate the Smith v Nastase match. I did see the Gerulaitis v Borg match but that doesnt qualify as it wasn't a final but I mention this as this is oft quoted as the gratest match at Wimbledon.

John McEnroe who now does commentary for NBC says he thinks it is the greatest match ever. During the match he mentioned several times that we were all incredibly lucky to be seeing such amazing tennis.

Since I posted the original message here about getting tickets, I wanted to follow up with the results of our efforts. Thanks to the suggestions here, we stayed in South Kensington and arrived at Wimbledon at 2 on a Friday afternoon during the first week. The line was huge, but we were given a card with a number on it. The woman told us we could leave the line and get lunch, which we did, and then reinsert ourselves in the line.

When we got back at around 3, the line was much shorter, but the new steward said we had to be at the end of the line! Because that wasn't what we had been told originally, we went back to our original place--and got in at about 4 p.m.

We did standing room at Court 2 and at around 6 p.m. got in line for resale tickets to Center Court. That line only took about 20 minutes. We got great tickets for a match that lasted until around 9:20. All in all, it was really worthwhile.
