Will there be lower cost flights to London in the next few weeks?
I see that most fares start at $470/person round trip with taxes and fees. Will fares be going down in the next few weeks? Do they normally?
Thanks!

I'd say it's a bargain considering that others are paying over $1000 per ticket to fly later in the year.
If anybody knew for sure that prices were going to fall in the next few weeks nobody would be buying tickets now.

I'd say it's a bargain also at any time of the year. But no one can say much without knowing what dates you are talking about. I am going to guess that is a winter fare, probably (like until 3/31 perhaps?) because it is so low. If so, I sure wouldn't expect fares to go down more than that as time is running out.

I flew Houston-London round trip last week on Continental for $484.50 including all taxes and fees. I watched the fares for a few weeks before purchasing my ticket and saw fares of more than twice that amount during that time.
$470 seems like a good fare to me, but then you have more non-stop options out of NY than we do out of Houston, so more competition may result in better fares for you.

In the short term, fares will almost certainly be creeping - or in some cases shooting - up.
With strike threats over BA, non-BA airlines will be geting all the business they want at full price. Indeed, until there's no risk of a BA strike, there'll be a serious shortage of non-BA capacity on the LON-NYC route.

Ok gotcha. I haven't been over to the UK in a while, and I remember seeing $99 round trip flights usually for a few days in late January/early Feb back a year or so ago (before taxes, fees, etc), and right now they are $149 on BA (before taxes, etc).
So I am trying to figure out if I should hold on, or just take the plunge.
Oh, and the travel would either be in late Feb or March.
