Will the Pope Bless Newlyweds during Lent?

Hi all,

I heard that the pope has a section of the mass where he will bless newlyweds.

Do you know you if the pope will do his blessing of newlyweds during lent? Not so close to Good Friday, but maybe a couple weeks before. We will be in Rome during this time.

Thanks!

I have heard this pope does far less audiences or individual blessings than the JP2. Your best bet is to call your chancery office and find out. They would also have to get you tickets.

Oh that's too bad! By chancery, do you mean embassy? For us, that would be US Embassy. I had no idea they do those types of things. Thank you!

I think you need to work through your church diocese.

The office for each diocese (or archdiocese) is called the chancery office. Your parish secretary should be able to tell you the phone number if you can't find it online.

Thank you very much everyone! That is a very helpful website, Alec. I think I know now how to proceed to get our blessing from the pope.
