Will I need air conditioning in early September in Tuscany?

We plan to rent a villa in Tuscany the first week in September, will we need air conditioning to be comfortable?

I would need it but I am always hot. See if the windows at least have screens to keep the mosquitoes out. You can buy these plug ins and coils that help. Also, ask when the Gov tells them the a/c can't be run. I rented an apartment in May with ac only to find out it isn't allowed to be turned on till June. I am not sure if Sept is one of the months they can use ac.

If you're sensitive to heat and humidity, it's best to make a plan that includes ac. These days, if you find cooler/dryer days in September, you can consider yourself lucky.

The first week of September can sometimes still be warm. Later, it wouldn't be necessary.

The first week of September is basically summer. Some place could be hotter then than some times in August, of course. the avg afternoon high will probably be low 80s (F).

It may depend on the villa. If the walls are thick stone, you just need to keep things shut during the day and the villa will stay cool. Many places do not offer a/c for this reason.

Totally depends on your tolerance of heat. There is o way I would rent one without AC and a pool. some stone buildings - if very old with thick walls may keep fairly cool during the day - others not. Depend on exact location, shade, winds, etc.
