Will I make this connection?

This coming Thursday I'm flying on my favorite airline AA to Frankfurt, where I need to connect to another great airline, the luxiourious USAF which will fly me to Kabul, Afghanistan. I will be arriving in Frankfurt early Friday and need to catch my connecting flight on Sunday. Will I make it? What are my best options?

:-) :-) :-)

All kidding aside, After the quick visit to Afghanistan I will be in Portugal for the 2nd half of EURO2004. The Afghanistan tour is arranged by a wonderful company, the US Army. At the moment can't tell you which subsidary of the company is taking care of me , but I hear good things about them.
Anyway, just wondering if any Fodorite will be in Lisbon between 6/23 and 7/4 to witness the great tournament? I have tickets to two quarter final games, 1 semi final game and the final, all in Lisbon. Would love to have a drink or two with a Fodorite football fan!

Just wondering, AA, what kind of FF miles does the USAF give you? How do you get upgraded? Is alcohol free or is there a charge? :-)

You live some kind of life! I'd be really curious to hear more.

As far as miles? huh, they are worse than BA, as they don't give any miles in the coach section. And I'm not happy that my upgrade request did not go through, although it could still happen at the airport :D. I believe it's BYOB, but at least they don't have the FAA rules against drinking your own booze. I believe they encourage it on the flight to Kabul. Other than that, it's a decent airline. They have been around for some time, and I hear they are one of the more succesful ones in the human and cargo delivery business, so they can't be that bad. :-)

tttt,

Don't tell me I'm the only football fan on this board.

Lisbon, 23JUN-4JUL, anybody?

AA - Wish I could join you! I'll be glued to the box ... starting this Sunday :)

An AMERICAN football fan? Hey - I never met one of them before ;)
So ... what team does an American support in the European championship??

Steve

I'll go with the Berlin Thunder in World Bowl XII, though it might be tough to defeat the Frankfurt Galaxy three times in one year.

Steve James,

This American will be supporting England. I'm a huge ManU supporter, and also a big PL fan. I get to see about 3-4 games live on satelite TV and many more on tape delay here in States. I also try to see few games in person every year at Old Trafford.
I do follow Poland when they qualify for something. I was born there, so it's kind of a sentimental favorite.
Of course in the World Cup, USA is THE favorite.

Hopefully England will make it out of group play and I'll get to see them in the final stages. The first game against France will be a very crucial one.

I'm off.....

I'm sitting in the great AA Flagship Lounge at ORD waiting for my flight to Frankfurt.

I may not have a chance to report till I get to Kabul, but I will do anything in my power to keep in touch with some of the wonderful people on this board. Have a wonderful weekend!

Be safe!!!!!

See Ya.....
