Will I fall off the mountain?
 

In October I'll be driving from Cordoba to Granada via Baena, the olive oil manufacturing town. How steep and scary is the route? Am not thrilled by narrow winding mountain roads with steep drop-offs. Should I worry?

Topping for someone who views narrow, winding mountain roads the way I do.

If taking the route will affect your vacation badly i.e. it will ruin it, then don’t go. But that is my opinion.

I love the title of your post. I hate the idea of riding around mountain edges...

I wish I could help you here with your exact route but I can't. We did drive in Andalucia and it was surprisingly unfrightening but perhaps someone else on Fodor's has taken this exact route...

This road is a primary (N) road and not narrow. IMO no reason to get scary.

But you can also take the A-4 and A-44. Driving time won't be longer.
