<BR>I ususally stick to posting specific answers to specific questions on this site BUT---did anyone here really read Bertha's message? <BR>She said she is 5' 1" and weighs 420 lbs <BR>Think that one over for a minute--try to visualize it. Come on folks our collective leg is being pulled by an expert.

No Austin this is no leg puller. Bertha is real. I know her and she is really only 5-1 and does in fact weigh 420 pounds. I met her in the Weight Watchers class. You should have seen her before she joined and started to lose some pounds. She was even bigger. Bertha may be fat but she has a really good personality and is fun to be with, even if she does tend to eat all the food on the buffet before the rest of use get to it. Oh well, we all have weaknesses don't we? <BR> <BR>Be nice to Bertha.

<BR>Quite frankyly I don't give a crapola if Bertha is a troll or not. She brings up a good question. What is it really like to be a heavy tourist in Euope? Believe me, for anyone who is over weight and a traveler, this is something that we think about. Common concerns are: will Europeans, like many Americans, be cruel and make loud comments about my size?, Will they laugh at me and humiliate me?, What about restaurants? Will I break the chair? Will I fit in the tight spaces?

All I know is you don't have to be 400 lbs to feel insecure about your weight in Europe. I was in Venice in May and shopping in a little boutique across the other side of the canal.I saw a lovely lavendar skirt and wanted to try one on .I am a size 10 and weigh under 140.Not a super model but not Jumbo either. No chance to fit in a size medium.So I went to a LARGE---Well when I had to buy an EXTRA LARGE, I was in shock.The sales girl said ,"We are smaller than you Americans" I say "Give me a break!!!!! Im 5'7".This is the reason the Germans and the old people dress so tacky--Italians don't design for chubbys--Thank Goodness for the American Plus retailers.Have you noticed you don't see 5-7-9 shops anymore.

The world is imperfect as it is. When I see a big size person, I worry for their health as too thin or too fat is never good. However, you must already realise that we as our own person choose our own path in life and only we are responsible for it. If you are comfortable being big size than by all means, stay big size. But if for some health reason you want to loose weight and so be it. The same for a small size person. What makes me sick is reading all the other postings but I couldn't care less for them because I am a strong believer of "what goes around comes around again" - so some point in their lives, these miserable creatures (not even deserving to be called "animals" - animals are cute & innocent) will pay for their cruelty in one way or another. <BR> <BR>You seemed a fighter and I cheer you on for it. Let's put it this way, nobody is every satisfied or happy with another person, so, I don't ever give a damn what other people's opinion of my actions or thoughts or actions. So long as I am not running for Presidency and no need for their votes, to hell with them. I live for the Quality People who are my good friends and loved ones, and I couldn't care less for the Quantity People who means nothing to me and are just there to search their role in this lifetime. Some people die without ever realising why the hell they are in this world for. I am not terribly religious person though I am Catholic but I don't need to go to Church to be close to God. I fear no one but God alone - that's my principle. I don't know what my role is for in this world/lifetime and I am not the best person around - nasty and rude most times, but I don't plunder, kill, murder or look down on others - I only look down on those who do not help themselves and make use of their God-given talents to do some good in this world. So you see, the Quantity People are just there to smell my fart ! Ha...ha...ha... We are imperfect lot because we do not see the trash in our own yard yet we critise our neighbours for the dead leaves that had fallen on their lawns. <BR> <BR>Be happy and have faith in yourself. Nobody is ever happy with anyone, so let the good Lord be the only judge for us, the rest like I say can smell our fart. Let's put it this way, even a beautiful lady/model have trashes thrown at them by hypocrites who are jealous of their beauty and call them bitches etc. So, if people with outer beauty are called ugly names, what more those of us who are not beautiful exteriorly? "A thing of beauty is a joy forever" and it should come from within us. <BR>
