wide width shoes in north france
 

Hi! I'm looking for some ladies shoes or boots to wear here in rainy Lille. I wear a size 36/37 (american 6.5-7) wide width(i.e. D or W)shoe. I have not had any luck finding something here in Lille. Does anyone have any suggestions? I dont mind travelling to somewhere else to get them...I just need to get them soon before the rains start. Thank you very much :)

Clarks in England have wide width shoes. Perhaps you can order some online. I also have wide feet and get most of my shoes on visits to the USA (I live in London).

Thanks very much for your advice but I'm really hoping to find something that I can try on in-store as my foots size is such a challenge, i want to avoid getting into the buying-returning things internationally trap.

I have lots of problems finding shoes in France. When I was a size 8 medium I could find shoes. But, when my feet went to a 10 medium, then it became impossible. I asked my once shoe salesperson in Paris, whom I had for years, where she bought her shoes since she's also a 10 medium and her answer was..."Italy". Good luck...and especially trying to finds wide shoes. Happy Travels!
