Has anyone been to any of these stores in Paris: Boutique Sacapuce, Sagone, Palais de la Chaussure, Jean Thiot, Birkenstock, or Scholl??? Feedback wanted on their wide width shoe collections.

Has this thread gone dead or what? It's been a while since anyone posted. Keep them coming folks...

I walked around Paris for six hours yesterday in a pair of Josef Seibel shoes (I bought them in Canada, but the brand is mentioned above as being available at Galeries Lafayette), and while my feet could have gone for another three, my legs were giving out. These have to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. They are a size 40 (I usually wear an 8 C or D), and while not exactly wild, are definitely more interesting than most walking shoes--slightly funky medium-denim blue leather slip-ons with a red flower appliqued on the side.
Good hunting--and do post when you get back, a number of us seem to share your problem. M. |
Well my problem is that i live in the US and while i can find a few places that sell wide shoes... i can't find places that sell dresses shoes for my size wide. Me and Big Foot literally have something in common. Size 9 eeeee. Sneakers aren't the problem, as others have said mens shoes work, but they definately don't work well when your dressing up for the holidays or some such thing. If anyone has a suggestion i would love it. I checked the drag queen stores even, but they were not exactly the type of shoe a classy woman such as myself would be caught dead in at the office christmas party. I know there has to be others on this planet with my problems, so help would be appreciated.
P.S. Oh and one last thing, money is an object, I'm a working class girl, i can't spend hundreds of dollars on a pair of dress shoes. |
