Why French women look the way they do

This is in today's Guardian.

Now you know what to do if you don't want to look like a tourist.

Pelvic floor exercises are perfectly normal after giving birth - not for the husbands sake but for the wife's - keeps her continent. And Six weeks after giving birth is also a very normal (or indeed in some cases quite late) time to restart "relations". And even in the 1970's when I had my children I was offered birth control before I left the hospital.
I see nothing different to this French birth experience than mine way back when, with the exception of Sophie and her sonde.

The reason French women look like they do is because they eat like sparrows and smoke like chimneys. And that statement is as much a cliché and generalisation as the whole article in the Grauniad.

Hetismij, hahahaha...I agree with your last paragraph. Anyone ever see the funny cartoon in the New Yorker magazine? It was a police van in Paris with a line of women climbing inside. The caption read: The Secret Shame of Paris: Predawn roundup of fat Frenchwomen.

Thanks for posting. Lots of cliches, but still fun to read.
