Who's leaving next week?

Scrolling through similar threads it seems most people are leaving in April. What about next week?? I'm supposed to be but am so afraid it will be cancelled, or that my family will be so distressed about it that I will have to postpone.

I fly to Rome on Monday. They have already rearranged my return flight (making it much more inconvenient) but so far the flight out is okay. I'm not nervous. But I wouldn't be surprised if I get another flight schedule change.

I a leaving for Rome on Sunday and very nervous about it. I am not so nervsous about flying but more so traveling around a foreign country during war time. We will be using trains from city to city.

I leave on Sunday for Rome - won't lie and say I'm not nervous, but I still plan on going. No changes so far on the flights.

Bnice,
I'm leaving in 48 hours for MUC on business and have a "heightened awarness" but that's it. BTW, I've travelled during other travails in the world with no problems. Also been involved in of one of the USA's less than popular wars - yes, they were shooting at me.

Who's cancelling? If it's your air carrier you're worried about, call or get on their website and check your flight.

For those going, the Brits have a great saying, "Stiff upper lip". Go and enjoy.
hth,
mj
If anyone has a ticket to Rome they don't want to use, I'll gladly take it off your hands. :)

We leave next week for London. So far airline has made no scheduling changes.

A little concerned since we'll be traveling with our kids, but have not considered cancelling. I don't know that we would be any safer staying home.

Have a great trip!

We're leaving on Sunday as well. I am aware, but not scared (maybe a little :) but I am a fearful flyer as is...
I am sure everything will be just fine: don't worry and enjoy!

I leave next week, flying TO the US. I'm much more concerned about being there then staying here in nice, cozy Switzerland.

bettyk Mar 19th, 2003 11:43 AM

Chris, since the US is a sooooooo much bigger than Switzerland I think your chances of something happening are very minute. Sort of like a needle in a haystack!

need more reassurance- especially now that the war has begun

sixthlap Mar 20th, 2003 04:14 AM

Bnice: One sugg. is follow your gut feeling.
BTW, I'm leaving in two weeks to Germany.

I just came back from Hong Kong (aside from a few people wearing masks because of SARS, the only other difference I noted was that my flight's refueling stop was changed from Anchorage to Vancouver). And I'm on my way to Barcelona and Madrid (with a London stopover) next week. I don't plan to cancel unless my employer insists that I cancel (it's partly a business trip) or I hear of terrorist attacks in North America or Western Europe. I figure I'm as safe in Spain and London as I am here.
