Spent October 16 - 22 in Paris. Museums all on strike! Luckily, the evening shift at the Louvre is not on strike so it opened Wednesday evening. Unfortunately, we didn't hear about it til 8pm. By the time we got there we had only 45 minutes to hit the three main highlights - Mona Lisa, Venus de Milo and Winged Victory - no problem. Had the Mona Lisa to ourselves, quite spectacular.

Found on Thursday the Rodin Museum gardens open and free.

The d'Orsay never opened nor did the Louvre open again. Sainte-Chappelle opened Saturday afternoon - we found out from another tourist as the tourist information people don't seem to know a thing. Lines were short and we had a great time and no problem filling up our days.
