Who you gonna call when in Rome? (transport to airport and to cruise port)

Too many choices online. Need your suggestion on whom to call to pick us (3) up and then later take us back to airport. Also to go to and from the Port. Geeeesh, they want an arm and a leg (E 160) to go one way to the Port. Yeah, it's not a quick trip, but there's gotta be someone who is more reasonable, safe, reliable, etc. Got a name and website, perhaps?

Could also use a private driver for a two hour tour in the evening. Someone who speaks English, likes Americans and has a nice vehicle. Don't need a Gigolo Assassin or dude on scooter. Thinking about $100 for the experience of being crusing around town...

Finally, friends, what's wrong with this picture? A tiny hotel across from the Pantheon. Is this a good spot? Are we in the wrong area vs. say, Spanish Steps or? Want to be close to the action. Walking very little on this leg. Just three of us and want to spend no more than $200 for a night in a lovely, nice, quiet and clean hotel... near Trevi, would be nice.

Grazie and please reply so our trip will be as fun as this Forum is.

Used the train and the Rome subway alot during our trip a couple of wks ago and found both to be quite reasonable, safe and reliable.

The Leonardo Express train between Fiumicino and Termini station is great - one-way is ~11 Euro. I believe Trenitalia also goes to the port.

Link to Trenitalia site is below if you want to check it out.

A taxi to Rome from FCO is a set fee of 40€ (4 people including luggage - official Rome taxi, not official city of Fiumicino taxi). You can book various limo services for about 5€ more.

Train from Rome to Civitavecchia is about 5-10€.

I would stay Pantheon over Spanish Steps/Trevi.

Fortuna Car Service is reliable, affordable, and has drivers who speak English. I usually deal with Francesco who's English is fantastic....I think he might have grown up in Canada for a bit if I'm not mistaken? Nice cars, no gigolo assasins :) I would definitely say the Pantheon since it's a bit livelier, but it depends on how important the proximity to the Metro is to you, in which case, Spagna might be better. Trastevere is a great option too, very well connected, and walkable from most anywhere.

I've used Romecabs and love them, very reasonably priced. Just contact Stefano at the website I have included below:
http://www.romecabs.com/

Quite often than not it is cheaper than a taxi with much better service!!

Accommodation, you cant go past the Pantheon area for the best location to stay. It is within easy walking distance to all the sites and the area is surrounded by great restaurants, cafes, bars etc.

I love, and highly recommend, the B&B Baldassini. We stayed there in June and I am returning to stay in March. I have a past guest discount code that you are most welcome to use (BBB777) to obtain a small discount off your accommodation, if you choose to, just quote BBB777 when you book!

Here are the B&B reviews that convinced me to book:

If you require any other info please let me know.

Buon Viaggio,
