We'll also be in Italy at that time. We arrive in Venice on 6/23, then the Dolomites, lago de Garda, lago de Maggiore and finally Portovenere. We leave on 7/6 and can't wait.
We always have to travel at that time of year due to my husband's business. Yes, it's hot, but North Carolina isn't too cool either!!!

We'll be there!
Bellagio: July 2-4
Rome: July 5-8
Positano: July 9-11
Capri: July 12-13
Naples: July 14
Rome: July 15
We were going to try and make it Cinque Terre and Siena on our way down from Bellagio to Rome but alas my boyfriend's work schedule forced us to shorten our trip. Oh well. Gotta take what we can get. Can't wait!

I happened across these old topic and wanted to report back on it. We were in Italy for right at two weeks, the end of June through July 10 and the temperatures were in the 80s for the most part.
For those planning summer trips to the area, it's not necessarily scorching hot.
