Who needs Help?

Seems like everyone on this site needs the advice of a good travel agent that had traveled. If you need help planning trips ANYWHERE independently or with groups I can help....just e-mail me at [email protected].
Lisa

Lisa,
Very difficult to have any confidence in someone purporting to be an expert in travel who can't translate or understand the simple words "no advertising on the forum"

With all due respect to good travel agents, who have come through for me on numerous occasions, this site is a good alternative to a travel agent.

Maybe you're a RETIRED travel agent. Otherwise, most readers would prefer that you refer to the following information from http://www.fodors.com/forums - - and its FAQ - -

Travel Talk is a place for travelers to talk to travelers -- you can ask questions, get advice, or share great stories from your trips. But please, no rudeness and no commercial promotion.

Can I promote my business on your forums?

No, absolutely not. Fodors.com is one of the few major sites where travelers can come for unbiased, independent information about travel. Since our travel writers can't be everywhere at once, it's important that travelers be able to use our forums to get fresh-from-the-field updates and advice from other travelers. Please respect the integrity of Fodors.com and our forums, and find another way to advertise your business.

What should I do if I see a message that's rude or contains advertising?

If you see a message or reply that violates our rules of conduct, please write to us with the forum name and the title of the post -- we'll look into it. We would prefer that you NOT add further comments to the objectionable message
Huh??? This last message must be from someone using Rex's name/address. It seems to me that he is spending an awful lot of time openly promoting his own trip, and I'm beginning to find that really objectionable. I'm not offended by the fact that he shares the information he finds, but he seems to be overstepping the bounds of self-promotion! Sorry, Rex old boy, but that's just how I feel.

abc,
I'm in total agreement with you.

As am I.

Thank you for the candid and NON-anonymous expression of your feelings about "our" trip, Sally.

I am sensitive (but not enough to suit all the people all the time, no doubt) to the "bounds" of "SELF-promotion".

Commercial promotion is not at issue with my promoting the Fodorites' trip, but being a good member of the "community" is.

I welcome guidance from all, and I suspect that some people will say that I have NOT crossed any boundary.

I actually anticipate that Fodor's staff may have something to say about this (and/or any "Fodorites'") trip(s) in the near future.

Best wishes,

Rex
