Nope, I operate under L and only L, as many will tell you, and normally hook a ciao to it for good measure. Madrid? So-so cuisine, nothing especially distinctive ... what's available we don't get here? Guys with knives - high unemployment, and they're looking to score. Not especially safe there ... I'm not the first to make that observation. Better places to travel. Bullfights ... well, not even the correct term, is it? Really, if you like Madrid, you may have my seat on the next Spanair. Happy to bid it farewell and move on to more interesting, fun places. Ciao

"L" reminds me of a poster who took on the task to bad-mouthed Spain as bad as it could be done--- and along the lines, recommend how much better France was. Well, turns out this poster owned a rental property in France and was trying left and right to push the business. It all came crumbling down when one of the renters posted details of their horrible experience while staying on his/her property (bad plumbing, etc...).

I also smell a rat....

L; I agree that there are more beautiful places but except for the Louvre are there any better museums than the Prado? I don't think so. Madrid is worth the trip just for that. If he has two days, then one can be spent at the Prado, while the other can be spent wandering the streets around the Plaza Mayor. I found the look of Spain absolutely thrilling. They dare to do anything they want with color and architecturally, the old stuff is gorgeous . Spain couldn't be sexier.
